I don’t know about you, but most days, I live for naptime.
It’s not that I don’t love the rest of the day with my kiddos. I do. The days aren’t without their trials, to be sure, but I know I’m blessed to be home, and so blessed to have these two miracles.
But naptime is when I get to sit down. Take a deep breath. Pee by myself. Watch something a little more grown up than Sesame Street.
Lately, I’ve been reading during naptime. Some days, I waste an hour on Facebook. But some days, I’ve found words that have refreshed my weary soul and encouraged my mama heart. Words that point me to Jesus and give me the strength to get up and be mom again.
I want to share those words with you. Because maybe you need some refreshment. Maybe you need some encouragement.
Introducing, The Naptime Collection
Each Thursday, I’ll bring you a few posts or articles from around the interwebs that have spoken to me that week. I’ll be careful in my choosing, because I know your time is precious. My hope is that the posts that bless my heart will bless yours as well.
Here we go…
This Week’s Naptime Collection
The Hallway – Angie Smith :: This one made me cry. It’s about motherhood and bravery and holding on and letting go and telling the story.
When Satan Steals Your Motherhood – Christie Elkins :: “Today? It is going to be okay. Take back your motherhood. It is a gift. Listen to the life-giver, NOT the liar.” Amen.
I Signed Up for This – Mrs. Gore :: Challenging, inspiring, and honest. It’s kind of the kick in the pants that I didn’t know I needed.
Love ’em Up – Courtney DeFeo :: 28 amazing, selfless ideas for you and your family in February. I just love Courtney’s heart!
And there you are. Reading gold for your naptime break. Enjoy, friends! And if you’ve got a post to share that spoke to you this week, leave a link and description in the comments below!
