I’m too sick to think of a funny title…

I am down for the count. This flu is no joke!

Just wanted to let you know that I haven’t fallen off the face of the earth, I’m just stuck in bed and/or on the couch. And I have zero brain power to put together a coherent blog post for you. My apologies. As soon as I can think again, I’ll be back on it!

In the meantime, I’m catching up on Psych episodes. Don’t judge me, it’s Jon’s favorite show. I’m being a supportive wife!

Seriously though, how long is this thing supposed to last? I’ve been sick since Sunday with no improvements. Usually I’m a fairly quick recoverer, but what is the deal with this thing? If you’ve had it – how long till you felt somewhat human again?

On a super happy note, Jon got offered a teaching job yesterday. I am so very proud of my hubby!!!! Thank you all for praying. This is SUCH a blessing for us! God is good. :)

Sending germ-free hugs your way. Stay well, friends. Be back soon.

  1. Feel better ASAP!!!!!! The flu can last up to 10 days. If you aren’t any better by tomorrow I would go to the doctor. And drinks lots of fluids- that is VERY important. Sending prayers and get wells your way!!!!!

  2. Feel better soon…and praying it’s over quick. I’ve had it twice already this year…I know, lucky me. (I went in and got a flu shot “just in case” after the second round.) Both times it lasted for about a week, once a little longer. I agree with Laura…LOTS of fluids, especially tea with honey. Enjoy your tv shows…it’s so rare that we writer mamas have time to lie on the couch and waste our brains on tv! Praying you can get the rest you need. Take care!

  3. I’m so sorry you have the flu right now! It could be worse…you could still be teaching, right? I’m sure Emily is loving the stationary mommy to play with (well, if it’s anything like my house, you are being played ON).

  4. Kayse, SO sorry you are sick! It sounds like you are making the good decision, to rest and take care of yourself. My son came down with the flu on Sunday night and mine has made its way to bronchitis…no fun! Prayers for quick recovery and long naps for your little one so Mommy can rest!
